Family Action Day for Human Rights

On Sunday 26 November 2017, GenGive and Amnesty International UK came together to bring you a live, experiential event, engaging families and children in the most important human rights issues of our time.

Every year Amnesty International runs Write for Rights, the largest grassroots campaign in the world. The campaign calls upon people across the globe to come together and stand in solidarity with others currently suffering injustice.

Kidz For Change with The Funding Network

Families, wanting to engage their children in the joy of giving to others, to translate charity from a faceless ‘collection box’ to a personal, engaging, empowering experience, came to participate in the first GenGive event.

Over £4,000 was raised in total in a mere 30 minutes, with children bidding in as little as £5 increments with their pocket money although the focus of the event was awakening and igniting our social conscience rather than fundraising.
